Group Renault Romania

An automotive manufacturer since 1898, Renault Group is present in 127 countries and sold about 3.2 million vehicles in 2016. In order to respond to the high technological challenges of the future and to continue its profitable growth strategy, the Group relies on its international development. In Romania Renault Group brings together all the skills required for the design, development and industrialisation of a vehicle: client studies, design, engineering, production and logistics, sale, business services and financing. Being in the centre of Global Access range (which includes Dacia models produced on Mioveni industrial platform), the Group is a leader on the local market with Dacia and Renault  brands. With their high level of expertise in design and engineering, the 16,700 employees of Group Renault Romania, which is an industrial reference pole for high quality and customer satisfaction, innovate in terms of  products and good practices and are recognised for their professionalism.

In 2011 Ana Maria Balaş was a third-year student in the Department of Engineering and Management of Technological Systems within the Polytechnical University in Bucharest. She discovered some references about Renault activity in Romania and the possibility to have an internship, in a promotional article of the university.  She applied for one of the topics of the internship programme available at that time. Following the internship the Group made an employment offer to her. Today Ana Maria is one of the engineers of Renault Technologie Roumanie who contributes to product success and to the company performance.

„I was fascinated by the automotive industry ever since I was a child, but the decision to follow a technical university came at the moment when I was looking for a back-up solution to my admission at the Marketing Department. I was admitted both in the Academy for Economic Studies and in the Polytechnical University and I took day-time courses at both universities in parallel. I took a three-month internship in the Fuel Circuit department. I had the chance to present the internship topic at various decision making levels and thus to make myself known. Following the positive feed-back in 2011 I took part in another internship in 2012, at the Cooling Circuit. This was a continuity which then turned into permanent integration in the team, as I was employed as person in charge of the Fuel Circuit. After one year's activity I became Local Technical Leader, a position requiring the provision of technical expertise both for projects under development and for mass production. During these projects I went through various stages and challenges, which required concrete decisions, creativity, spontaneity, rigour and organisation”, Ana Maria Balaş remembers.

GROUP RENAULT ROMANIA continues to recruit people who are passionate for automobiles and to propose internship programmes to students in the last university years.
