The site hosts the largest car assembly plant of the Renault Group, the most complex powertrain plant and the biggest logistic hub of the Renault-Nissan Alliance.

Dacia Car Assembly Plant currently has a manufacturing pace of 1,300 cars per day, i.e. 60 cars per hour, i.e. a car comes out of the assembly line every minute.

During its 49-year life time, the plant has manufactured 8 different models(in a total of almost 6 million cars):

  • Dacia 1100
  • Dacia 1300
  • Dacia Nova
  • Dacia SuperNova
  • Dacia Solenza
  • Dacia Logan (in sedan, station wagon, van and pick-up versions)
  • Dacia Sandero
  • Dacia Duster

Dacia Car Assembly Plant also makes parts for other plants in the Renault Group where the Logan, Sandero, Duster models are assembled and where there are no stamping, body shop or painting departments. Thus, these kits of parts are shipped to: Brazil, Morocco, Algeria, Russia, Colombia, Iran, India and South Africa.

Out of the total car production of the Mioveni plant, 90% is exported.

Dacia Powertrain and Chassis Plant manufactures cast aluminum parts, machines them and assembles engines and gearboxes, front and rear axles for Dacia, Renault, Nissan cars manufactured worldwide.

Over 65% of the plant production is exported to plants from within the Renault Group.

The Central Logistics Division insures the outbound delivery of new cars manufactured on the Mioveni site and that of kits of parts to be assembled in the Renault-Nissan plants worldwide.

AILN (Alliance International Logistics Network), part of the Central Logistics Division is the largest logistic hub of the Renault Group in terms of volumes of shipped parts. The AILN hub manages, for all their customers, a total of 17,480 product references which represent parts necessary for the assembly of various versions of Global Access cars. In 2016, AILN shipped to the other Renault Group plants some 2,637,036 m³ of parts, the equivalent of 1,400,239 assembled cars.

Production engineering teams also carry out their activity on the Mioveni site, teams that provide assistance for the two plants, in the preparation and implementation of new projects.
