145 trainees prepare their degree at Dacia

Within its recently launched trainee programme, Dacia has selected 145 students from a total of 700 applicants from around the country. For three months, the trainees will prepare their degree guided by some of Dacia’s specialists, and will have the chance to gain professional experience in an industrial environment.

Dacia’s trainee programme is the most important project of its kind in the country. Initiated in 2005, it sets out to support senior students of technical universities. The programme is organized around the development of research subjects and each student is coordinated by one of Dacia’s experienced “tutor”.

During the trainee programme, all students will receive free daily accommodation, transport and lunch at the company’s head office, as well as a monthly grant that will allow for self support. In addition, the trainee students will have the chance to work with advanced technologies, under the direct guidance of Dacia’s specialists, in an international working environment.

“The trainee programme organized by Dacia is my first experience in an industrial environment; I am sure it will be of great help in my future career. I am very happy to be part of the programme and surprised, at the same time, to see how much we are offered. It certainly acts as a professional springboard for my colleagues and me”, says Florentina Balescu, a student specializing in Industrial Energetics at the Bucharest Polytechnic University.

Every year, Dacia’s trainee offer is promoted on its corporate website www.daciagroup.com and disseminated to all technical universities in the country. All students interested in applying to the programme must send their CVs and a letter of intent to relatii.universitati@daciagroup.com. Students who have been selected will be later invited to an interview. The 2010 trainee programme will be published during the summer.
